May is here and my first thought is, why is it still so cold? Outdoor kids' activities are not quite as comfortable as it should be. It's the price we pay to live in this great state though. Not every spring day will be warm.

It's approaching the end of the school year. Any plans this summer? Weddings, vacations, home projects, etc. There are some things that may warrant a call to your insurance agent just to make sure you're covered. Did you know that if you get married, your coverage changes whether you know it or not? It's better to stay up to date than to get a surprise after a claim. Give us a call after you say, "I do".

Don't forget: toys need their own policies. Your car and home insurance won't cover your ATV, motorcycle, camper, boat, 5th wheel, etc. Let's make sure you're covered properly.

Lastly, if you have any extra rhubarb or cucumbers from the garden, don't be shy!

Thank You very much for visiting my virtual office! I am originally from Wisconsin where I graduated high school in Ellsworth, WI - yes, the place all the cheese curds come from. I went on to get my Associate's Degree in Business, a Bachelor's in Finance, and an MBA in Marketing. In 2011, I moved to Minnesota for a career change and to start a family. My oldest of 2 sons, Calvin (age 12), started swimming competitively at age 7. We spend a lot of time at the pool every week and meets on the weekends where it's hot for hours. My youngest son, Emerson (age 10) is into bowling and acting. I have been with State Farm for 13 years. Before becoming an agent, I spent the entire time with one agency and held various roles at that office. So, why did I open an agency after a decade? After building relationships and working closely with my Agent for so many years, I wanted to explore small business ownership for myself. I truly enjoy helping families prepare for the unexpected because as a parent, son, friend, and brother, I know there's always that "what if" and if I can help take some of that uncertainty away, there's no better feeling.
